About Me
I’m Rick, a Colorado-based photographer drawn to wild places and the quiet moments that happen within them.
I first picked up a camera for a high school photography class, but it wasn’t until I got my first DSLR that it truly stuck. At the time, I was spending most of my free time backcountry skiing, bringing my camera along and making my friends wait while I skied down to frame the perfect shot.
One winter afternoon, I pulled off I-70 to photograph the bison near Genesee. That spontaneous stop changed everything. It sparked a deeper interest in wildlife and led me to seek out new animals, landscapes, and compositions across Colorado.
Today, I’m still chasing those same magical moments — and trying my best to share them with my family!
